My phone beeps in the middle of the night, signaling a work email has just come in. It’s a request for more information from Tania, a future bride hoping to help find someone to help her plan her OC destination wedding. She wasn’t up in the middle of the night, she was in India, 13 hours ahead of us here in CA! That is right, I said India! This would be a destination wedding on another level I thought! I emailed her back first thing in the morning, and our adventure began from there!

Tania hired me to handle her entire wedding weekend as her full service planner. With only one planned trip to the states before her big day, we were in for a long planning journey of email and scheduled phone calls- trying to find a time when we’d both be awake at the same time!

We had so much fun putting together an entire weekend of events for Tania & Yaz’s closest friends and family. Most of the guests were traveling to the US, or to CA from another state, so having a fun weekend for everyone to enjoy multiple events in multiple locations was a top priority.

I’ll focus on the wedding day itself, that took place at The Villa in SJC, one of my favorite wedding venues! Since the venue has so much natural beauty already, we just added some simple centerpieces, pretty lighting, and some personal touches to the decor to create the perfect celebration space. All of our flowers were white and ivory, with the exception of a few sunflowers on the dessert and guest book tables. Sunflowers were Tania’s late fathers favorite flower, so to honor him these were added for a personal touch. The centerpieces were simple, with just the right amount of greenery and candlelight. We had an amazing dessert station provided by Simply Sweet Cakery, and a fun sparkler exit which was the perfect ending to the day.

What a challenging, yet exciting adventure I took with Tania to plan this weekend from opposite sides of the world…. but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! I have the best clients, and this event reminded me of how lucky I am to do what I do!
