It’s no secret that the Newport Beach Marriott has a special place in my heart. Not only did I work there in weddings for years, I also was married there myself in ’11. The hotel will always mean so much to me 🙂
Another soft spot in my heart at this beautiful hotel is the Rose Garden ceremony location. Since I started working at the hotel, there has been talk of upgrading this beautiful ceremony site, updating it from its original design. Though the hotels original gazebo was an iconic piece of the hotel, it was time for a facelift!
Fast forward years and years, it is finally done! The new Rose Garden was completed earlier this year and it is amazing! My first wedding in the new space was for Chelsea and Mike! I met this great couple at the hotel’s Menu Tasting event and we hit it off right from the start! I loved Chelsea’s entire family and knew we’d work so well together!
Chelsea used a beautiful royal blue and ivory in her dĂ©cor. We had a few pops of red in the flowers that were also stunning. The new Rose Garden gazebo was draped with beautiful sheer drapes, with flower and hanging crystal details. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd when Chelsea came down the aisle with her father…. it was a perfect moment!
The Newport Coast Ballroom was covered in ivory flowers by Shawna Yamamoto Designs.  We also used a ton of candlelight and amber lighting to give the room a nice romantic “glow”. Sea stars and shells were used in a few places to give a little “beach” feeling to the dĂ©cor as well.
The entire group was a fun, dancing crowd! All of the guests seemed to have a wonderful time celebrating the new couple! IÂ had a huge smile on my face all day, knowing all had worked out so perfectly for them and I was thrilled to had been a part of it all!
Chelsea and Mike, Congrats again on a beautiful wedding! My first Rose Garden wedding was made even more special because it was for the two of you! Hugs to you both!
