real wedding: roya & charlie 3/29/13

With wedding season in full swing, get ready to see some of my amazing couples showcased here each week! Photos of my weddings thus far are pouring in, and I am so excited to begin to share!

One of my first weddings of the season, Roya & Charlie’s event was so very special to me! This amazing couple said I do on March 29th at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. Easily one of my FAVORITE couples that I have ever worked with, Roya and Charlie were just a joy to work with every step of the way. Roya was sent to me from a referral from another past bride of mine, and right from the beginning, I knew we were going to put together an amazing event! As her full-service planner, I was able to assist with putting together an “A” team of vendors for her wedding, and we did just that!

Roya & Charlie wanted a wedding that was elegant and simplistic. We used gold tones with greens and deep purples in the ballroom. Roya ditched the traditional white dress for a purple, sparkle stunner & her daughters were her bridesmaids, dressed in beautiful evening gowns of their choice. All of her guests were dressed to impress, as they watched the heartfelt ceremony on the beautiful Nixon lawn. Personal touches were everywhere! In lieu of a cake, we had macaroon towers, and instead of table numbers we named the tables after cities that the Bride and Groom have traveled to together over the course of their relationship.

Roya and Charlie, it was such a pleasure! I know we’ll stay in touch and I feel blessed to have gotten to know you so well over the course of our planning journey! I love you both! I’ll be here when your daughters get married 🙂
