real wedding: christina & tyler 8/8/2014

25 Jul

From the first meeting I had with Christina & Tyler I knew their wedding was going to be a blast! We sat in Fuego (the yummy restaurant inside of Hotel Maya!) had some wine, and chatted about the upcoming celebration. I fell in love with the couple, and with their love story….

After “dating” in Jr. High, the couple parted ways for years and didn’t see each other. Then as chance would have it, the two adults later randomly ran into each other at the bank! The bank! Who would’ve thought?! They started dating again and the rest is history. Some things are just meant to be!

Beautiful, romantic touches were everywhere for this event. The bridesmaids wore stunning boho style dresses, with the bride in a stunning off the shoulder gown by Stone Cold Fox ( Loose, organic arrangements with touches of metallic silver created the perfect combination of natural and glamorous. Carly P Design Studio provided the perfect hand-written wedding signage that was the perfect touch to the escort card table, guest book table and at the entrance to the wedding ceremony location.

A fun group of guests + a beautiful bridal party + great food + a TON of dancing + some cocktails= the perfect celebration for this sweet couple. So honored to be a part of it!

Carrie and Les, where to begin! Carrie and I met through the OC LMU Alumni Association, and we found out that our families knew each other for years. I can’t say that hasn’t happened before with my family! When I said I was a wedding coordinator here in Orange County and a LMU alum, she basically hired me right then and there. It was a perfect match! I had a wonderful time assisting throughout the entire planning process, making sure that Carrie’s “coastal” wedding surpassed her expectations. The wedding ceremony took place at LMU Sacred Heart Chapel which held a close place to her heart, followed by cocktail hour and dinner reception at the Marina del Rey Marriott up on the rooftop ballroom with 270 degree views of the Los Angeles skyline and beaches. Absolutely breathtaking!

With the help of our wonderful vendors, we were able to turn Carrie’s coastal wedding vision into reality with the stunning floral arrangements provided by The Bloom of Time, and the gorgeous linen provided by Designer Specialty Linens. Every detail was taken into consideration from the stationery, Invitiation Deign Studio, to the cake, Vanilla Bake Shop. Carrie also wanted to incorporate interacitve pieces to the evening, so with a photobooth provided by Watertree Events and a live protrait of the reception painted by artist Karen Wall Garrison throughout the evening for guests to come up and watch, there was entertainment all night long.

Thanks to all of my vendors, especially to our photographers, Tim and Dea Meyer, and videographer, John Goolsby, who capture the love and wonderful memories of Carrie and Les’s unforgetable wedding day. Enjoy!

It’s June! I can’t believe it is June! Wedding season is in full swing and we are working hard to not only manage flawless weddings every weekend, but also to plan our 2016 weddings and catch up on this here blog :)

In the next few weeks Jenna, Jen and myself will continue to share some of our 2014 weddings and since I have a really hard time holding beautiful things back, I’ll also share some of my 2015 couples as the photos and videos come to me. A little jumping around with wedding dates, but all beautiful eye candy for you to enjoy :)

Jenny and Kirk were married on February 15, 2015 at the Nixon. It was a STUNNING wedding…. I can’t wait to receive the photos so I can share them! In the meantime, here is their beautiful wedding video, produced by Dan at Plug Video Brings me right back to the magic of the day! Hats off to your Dan, and to all of the other vendors who made this day as perfect as it was!

One of my favorite venues is the Nixon Library. There is just something so classic and timeless about the space- it takes so little to make it look stunning! I was so excited to work with Alex and Shah, as they were a referral from a past bride of mine. It was also a huge bonus when I heard that they were tying the knot just minutes from my house at the Nixon!

A very regal feeling, we used purples and gold everywhere! Beautiful tall centerpieces and linen made for a stunning tablescape, and lighting by Visions Entertainment created the perfect party space. We had so many sweet personal details at this event. A giant puzzle served as our guest book. Guests were invited to sign pieces of the puzzle that fit together to complete an adorable picture of the couple. We also had family photos displayed on the ballrooms mantles-such a great way to showcase some amazing family members and memories.

The ceremony was heartfelt and sweet, these 2 really love each other! Then we moved into the reception and this group was ready to celebrate! Everyone knows Persian wedding guests love to dance, and this group was no exception! The dance floor was packed all night, as our DJ Jason played a mix of Persian beats and top 40 hits.   So much fun! We ended the night on a sweet note with a crepe maker cart serving late night snacks.

Take a look at some of my favorite images from the day by the amazing Matt & Maria of Lin & Jirsa Photographers. Enjoy!

Jennifer and Steve came to me with a dream of a summer time San Diego wedding- and we’ve had an amazing time thus far planning their labor day weekend event at The Del Coronado Hotel! I can’t wait to see all of the plans come together, and I am thrilled to see our bright & colorful design take shape!

The couple booked Cean One for their wedding photography- one of my favorites! Take a look at just a few great shots from their engagement session!

new office/re-launch party!

25 Apr IMG_3743

We entered 2015 with a new studio, a new business name, & a new associate coordinator….all great reasons to celebrate! We got together with Lily Stein, our suite-mate, and planned a little office party in March. We were so excited to invite some of our closest vendor friends down for some champagne and for a toast to the 2015 wedding season. The entire Engaged team was there to enjoy a relaxing night of drinks and sweets with some of the best wedding peeps in OC.

Angel at Monico Decor provided us with some beautiful linen and lounge furniture, Jenny B provided us with some beautiful flowers, Simply Sweet Cakery brought in some yummy sweets and Baker Party Rentals provided us with our tables, chairs and lighting. A HUGE thank you to each of them for their support! You made the night!

So many of our wedding friends stopped by, and it was so much fun to have so many of our favorite people in one place! We are so proud of the new studio, and so excited to introduce Jen to everyone as a new leader on our team! Thank you everyone who came by and showed us your support, we are SO VERY THANKFUL. We understand how busy everyone is, so your presence meant the world. Cheers to Engaged, our new Tustin studio, and to a wonderful 2015 season!

Here are just a few pictures from the night! We hope to see you at the new office soon ;)

real wedding: kristen & ethan 10/5/2013

9 Apr

Some couples are more than just clients, they are friends. Kristen is one of those clients. I’ve known Kristen for years, and I was so honored to be asked to help with her big day! Kristen worked with me at the Newport Beach Marriott for years, and her sister Summer (who I also worked with at Marriott) has been a close friend of mine for over a decade. Knowing how much fun their family is, I knew this celebration would be big!

The Newport Beach Marriott was the perfect venue for the wedding. A place of such history for all of us :) The ceremony took place in the new Rose Garden Ceremony site, so stunning! Kristen had a custom wood cross made for her alter, that we added flowers to for the finishing touch. Bridesmaids were in a dark grey/silver which was the perfect contract to the bright coral and orange flowers. After the ceremony, a Mariachi band led us to the cocktail reception of course!

We incorporated mixed metals with the coral in her decor, and the warm colors were perfect in the Newport Coast Ballroom. Flower Allie did the flowers, and we rented gold sequin linen (love!!) from Fusion Decor. Long, Family style tables lined the dance floor with circle tables filling the rest of the ballroom. Old family photos filled our cake table, such a sweet personal touch! A late night after party room opened around 11pm, where guests could enjoy desserts and a taco cart- yum!

Kristen, it was so special to be involved in your wedding! You and Ethan are just perfect for each other! Thank you for trusting me and for allowing me to share in the fun! I love you and your fam and wish you all nothing but the best in the years to come!
